Terms & Conditions
Last updated 20 August 2026
1. About These Terms These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Eventside (the "Platform"), including our website, business pages, marketplace, recruitment listings, messaging, community forum, calendar tools, invoicing features, live chat and support tickets. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Eventside.
We may update these Terms from time to time, as described in Section 15. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility and Accounts You must be at least 18 years old to create an Eventside account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account, whether or not you authorised it, except where that activity results from our own negligence.
We may operate Eventside on an invite-only basis at times, requiring a valid invite code to register. We may also offer registration via third-party social login providers, in which case that provider's own terms also apply to your use of their sign-in service.
If we reasonably believe an account has been compromised, created fraudulently, or used to breach these Terms, we may suspend or disable it, as described in Section 14.
3. Using Eventside You agree to use Eventside only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use of the Platform. You must not: impersonate any person or entity; post false, misleading or fraudulent content; harass, abuse or harm another user; upload viruses or malicious code; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or another user's account; scrape or harvest data from the Platform other than through features we provide for that purpose; or use Eventside to send unsolicited advertising or spam.
We may remove content or restrict access to the Platform where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.
4. Business Pages and Listings Business pages let you promote venues, performers, suppliers and other event-related services. You are responsible for ensuring the information on your business page — including descriptions, pricing, photos and offerings — is accurate and kept up to date. Each account may create a limited number of business pages, which we may adjust from time to time; the current limit is shown when you try to create a new page.
You are solely responsible for any agreements, bookings or services you arrange with customers found through Eventside. We are not a party to those arrangements and do not guarantee the quality, safety, timing or legality of any service offered by a business on the Platform.
5. Marketplace Transactions and Auctions The marketplace lets members list items for sale, either at a fixed price or through a timed auction. By listing an item, you confirm you have the right to sell it and that its description is accurate. By bidding in an auction, you agree that a winning bid is a commitment to purchase, and you should only bid amounts you are able and willing to pay.
Eventside does not process marketplace payments on your behalf and is not responsible for arranging delivery, collection or payment between buyer and seller — these are matters for you to agree directly with the other party. We encourage members to communicate clearly, meet in safe locations where relevant, and use secure payment methods.
6. Recruitment & Gigs Businesses may post job and gig listings, and members may apply to them. Eventside does not employ or engage applicants and is not a party to any employment, contractor or freelance arrangement made through the Platform. Businesses posting roles are responsible for complying with applicable employment and equality laws.
7. Payments, Invoicing and Fees Eventside provides tools that let you create invoices and quotes, record payments and manage customers. These tools are provided to help you keep track of your own business dealings; we do not guarantee payment from your customers and are not a payment processor or party to the underlying transaction unless expressly stated otherwise.
Eventside is currently free to use for the core features described in these Terms. If we introduce paid plans, premium features or transaction fees in the future, we will give you reasonable notice and update these Terms accordingly before any charges apply to your account.
8. User Content and Intellectual Property You retain ownership of the content you post on Eventside, including business descriptions, photos, portfolio items, forum posts, messages and reviews ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Eventside a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute it as necessary to operate and promote the Platform.
You must only post content you have the right to share, and must not infringe anyone else's intellectual property, privacy or other rights. Eventside's own branding, design and underlying software remain our property or that of our licensors.
9. Messaging, Community Forum and Reviews Messaging, the community forum and reviews are provided to help members communicate and share genuine feedback. You must not use these features to harass, defraud or mislead others. Reviews should reflect a genuine experience with a business; we may remove reviews that breach these Terms.
A business may turn off new messages to its page at any time; this does not affect conversations already in progress. Forum posts and messages may be moderated, hidden or removed where they breach our community guidelines, and repeated or serious breaches may lead to account restrictions.
10. Live Chat and Support Tickets Live chat is provided by our team when shown as online, but responses are not guaranteed to be instant even then, as chat is not staffed around the clock. Support tickets are the best way to raise anything that does not need an immediate answer, and are tracked until resolved. Please do not share sensitive information such as full card numbers or passwords through chat or tickets.
11. Creation Limits and Account Restrictions To keep Eventside fair and usable for everyone, accounts are subject to limits on the number of business pages, marketplace listings and job posts that may be active at once. Default limits are shown throughout the Platform and may be adjusted for your account by an administrator on request via a support ticket.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability Eventside is provided "as is" and "as available". While we work to keep the Platform reliable and accurate, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure, and we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any business, listing, job, review or other content posted by users.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eventside will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunity arising from your use of the Platform, or from any transaction or arrangement made with another user through it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
