Setting up a portal for your customers
Give a customer their own private login to view and download the invoices and quotes you've billed them, without needing an Eventside account of their own. Open that customer's entry from Customers, and set a password for them in the Customer portal section — this also switches their portal access on.
You'll see their portal link on the same screen, ready to copy and share with them however you'd like — email, message, whatever's easiest. The portal is branded with your business's own name and logo, and only shows documents billed to that specific customer.
You stay in full control: reset their password at any time from the same screen, or switch portal access off without losing their password if you ever need to temporarily suspend it. A customer can also reset their own password themselves via a "Forgot password?" link on the portal login page, if you'd rather not manage resets by hand.
Only customers assigned to one of your businesses can have a portal — a general customer not tied to a specific business page won't have this option until you assign one.
